| Dark Half Like the title implies, this amv looks at the dark aspects of certain pairings, namely Youko Kurama, Inuyasha’s demon side, Kyuubi, and Battousai. I’ve a penchant for angsty romance. The original idea of this video was to ‘animate’ a yaoi story using fan-illustrated frames as the ‘stock’ footage to maintain consistency between scenes and anime. I started with the Inuyasha section – which has a lot fewer frames and less movement despite it being placed in the middle of the video. Somewhere along the way of setting that footage to the audio track, the story shifted and I got better at putting movement (read: animation) into the vid. This is most evident in the YYH section. Just keep in mind that I didn’t make this video in the order the scenes appear, so the older scenes aren’t as detailed. This was something of a trial video. | Almost Golden The theme of this video is based off the lyrics - "these colors you shine are surely not your best." The video focuses exclusively on characters who share a similar look, namely hair color - gold, silver-white, and pale blue. A few bruenettes made the cut, but for the most part it's the blonde and silver that stand out. Kurapica, and to a lesser extent Killua, from Hunter x Hunter and Satoshi (and Krad) from DN Angel are featured more than any other specific characters. This is mostly an action vid with some drama mixed in, but the song could have fit a character profile for Kurapica or Satoshi, as well as many of the other characters used. That said, this video may not be considered hardcore by some standards, but it's pretty explicit for me. There's shonen ai mixed in, but the main theme is erotic smut between hot male anime characters. As such, most of the pairings are entirely canon. Don't like it? Blame the creators. There are two fanon pairings used in this video. They only appear for 2 seconds each, but it's in there. They are Tezuka/Fuji from Prince of Tennis and Kurama/Hiei from Yu Yu Hakusho. Doujinshi scans. So they aren't listed as anime sources. The other still pictures used come from manga covers and a few fanart/game cg scenes. I don't know the source of all the game pictures, but the Gravitation fanart shots are by "Haruka Sena"..
